Hi there!
“Make the world a healthier place” is our goal at Data4Life. We, the Communications team, ensure that we achieve this goal quickly and never lose sight of it, thereby generating impact in the healthcare sector in Germany and beyond.
To support our Communications team, we are looking for a committed individual for the position of Junior Communications and Content Manager. The position is full-time, based in Berlin and Potsdam, and offers the option of hybrid working.
ABout the role
As Junior Communications & Content Manager, you’ll help shape the way Data4Life communicates its digital research solutions, infrastructure projects, and impact initiatives to the outside world.
From social media to web content, from visual storytelling to classic press work — your role spans all key channels and formats that bring our work into the public sphere. You’ll support the strategic visibility of our open-source tools, flagship programs (like the Research Credits Program), and collaborative efforts with research institutions.
Beyond classic content formats, this role has a strong focus on visual and audiovisual storytelling. You will help translate complex public health, research, and digital infrastructure topics into engaging visual narratives — from short videos and webcasts to photo-based stories and explainers.
A genuine interest in the content itself is essential: understanding public health, digital health, research processes, or data-driven innovation is a key part of the role. We are looking for someone who does not only package messages, but actively engages with and shapes them.
You’ll work closely with the Communications Lead, our product and science teams, and external partners to transform complex topics into clear, compelling content. You’ll also take ownership of operational tasks like website management and post scheduling — and gradually grow into a versatile content and channel lead.
This is a learning-friendly role with space to explore: ideal for someone with a sharp eye for detail, a creative mindset, and a genuine interest in digital health and public interest tech.
