Backend Engineer - Golang (f/m/d) - Potsdam, Berlin or 100% remote within Germany

Here are some of the projects and tasks that you can be contributing to:

  • We are developing data platforms with a strong focus on security and privacy for supporting various products and research studies
  • Our OAuth2-based client/server authentication architecture
  • Various cryptography and security topics while constantly challenging our security
  • Our end-2-end encrypted health data platform, FHIR, data ingestion, and insights delivery
  • Internal processes that involve all steps from SDKs to REST API microservices, and from databases to Kubernetes clusters
What you need to succeed
  • You have a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • You have at least 2 years of relevant working experience as a Software Engineer or Fullstack Developer with backend focus before
  • You have previous experience with using our tech stack of golang, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • You have good knowledge of relational and nosql databases (Postgres and Redis), experience with crypto algorithms, or authentication schemes like OAuth2 are big pluses!
  • You understand software as a tool for problem solving and are able to make pragmatic choices
  • You are passionate about exploring and working with new technologies
  • You are sufficiently organized to flourish in an agile and remote work environment
  • You value your peer’s insights and enjoy creative and innovative exchange in order to come up with better solution
  • Willingness to participate in our on-call duty shifts
  • You are already located in Germany or looking to relocate to Germany
  • You are fluent in English in both speech and writing
